Stakeholder Support for a Successful Project Implementation

Successful implementation of an evidence-based project requires adequate support from both external and internal stakeholders. My project aims to implement a standardized risk assessment of falls to perform comprehensive risk stratification and develop individualized care plans. Internal stakeholders include nurses, physicians, heads of departments, and the leadership of the healthcare facility. Their support will promote the success of my change proposal. For instance, nurses and physicians will be key in risk stratification and formulating and implementing individualized care plans (Neugebauer et al., 2021). The facility’s leadership will ensure adequate resources are allocated to promote the proposal’s success (Dagne & Beshah, 2021). Examples of external stakeholders are patients and their families. They promote the project’s success by providing a detailed and accurate history to facilitate risk stratification.

I will secure the support of internal stakeholders by engaging them and informing them about the importance of my change proposal. For instance, the change proposal will minimize the incidence and prevalence of falls, increase the quality of care, and give healthcare facilities a competitive advantage. Similarly, I will secure the support of external stakeholders by educating them on the importance of risk stratification in fall prevention. In this context, fall prevention will improve patient outcomes and lower treatment costs emanating from long hospital stays.
